Practical Guide
Flower Care
Follow our expert tips to enjoy your bouquets as long as possible.
General Tips
Trim stems at an angle
On arrival, cut 2–3 cm off the stems at an angle with a clean, sharp knife. This increases water absorption.
Use fresh water
Fill the vase two-thirds with fresh, clean water. Add the flower food sachet that came with your bouquet.
Remove submerged leaves
Remove any leaves below the waterline to prevent bacteria growth.
Change water regularly
Change the water every 2–3 days and re-trim the stems each time. Clean the vase to remove bacteria.
Place it well
Avoid direct sun, heat sources or ripe fruit nearby (fruit releases ethylene, which wilts flowers faster).
By Flower Type
🌹 Roses
Roses love fresh water and mild spots. Trim stems at an angle every 2 days and remove wilted petals as you go. Well kept, your roses can last 10–14 days.
🌷 Tulips
Tulips keep growing after cutting! Use a narrow vase to hold them straight. They prefer cold water and a cool spot. Lifespan: 5–7 days.
🌻 Sunflowers
Sunflowers are sturdy and like lukewarm water. Change the water daily — they drink a lot. Keep in a bright spot. Lifespan: 7–10 days.
🪴 Indoor plants
Water moderately (check the soil is dry on top first). Keep in bright light without direct sun. Wipe leaves with a damp cloth monthly.
🌾 Dried flowers
Dried flowers need no watering. Keep out of direct light to preserve colors. Dust gently with a hair dryer on cool setting.
